: Evolution and Ecology
1. Look closely at biological objects (sunflower seeds), and carefully record data regarding patterns among the individuals of a species
2. Analyze data and use data tables and graphs to describe patterns in nature (the variation in the number of stripes on a sunflower seeds)
3. Sort seeds by stripes and place the sorted seeds in the 12 labeled plastic cups (labeled 1-12+) at the front of the classroom.
1. Inform the students that the sunflower seeds have been touched by many years of students (they will try to eat the seeds otherwise-- trust me)
