These stations will engage your students in a learning experience they will never forget. With over 6 subjects covered in these hands-on stations they will begin to see learning at a whole new level when the connect their learning to a real life event: Super Bowl 50. Subjects covered are: writing, art, social studies, reading, math, science, and many more.
Print the purchased slides and place them throughout your room to set up different stations. Read through each direction page thoroughly to ensure you have the correct handout that goes with it.
Goal of the Stations:
Each student will have a "Super Bowl Field Pass" that has a 100 yard football field. On each station there is a designated yardage associated with the completed task. If the student completes the task (teacher grades it) then the student moves the appropriate yardage on his/her field pass. The goal is that each child completes enough stations to score a TOUCHDOWN! (100 yards!)
-Have a tally board set up somewhere in your classroom and have the students predict who the winner will be.
-Play certain background music as the students are working. I started the day with the National Anthem. (NFL theme songs, etc.)
-If students finish early, they could look up information on the half time performance, the coaches of each team, or they could do a short bio over one of the players on each team.
-If your class finishes before the end of the day: Have them divide up into the two teams and support the team they predict will win. They can have a respectful debate over the outcome of the game!
Hope you have a fun day with your students! :)
