Touchdown! This fully-inflated activity allows students to interpret real data from past Super Bowls and convert that data into fractions with a denominator of 100, decimals to the hundredths, and percents.
The activity is scaffolded so that students first answer a series of pre-determined questions about the Super Bowl data and identify the corresponding fractions, decimals, and percents. Next, students use critical thinking skills to construct their own questions about the data and identify the appropriate fractions, decimals, and percents.
Data includes: teams, scores, locations, and temperature at time of the game.
Information about the first 20 Super Bowl games is listed in the activity, but I provided the website where data for games up to the present year can be found.
Answer Key is included.
