Super Cute Chevron Behavior Clip Chart
Looking for a really cute Clip Chart that will easily match your existing Chevron classroom decor? Well, here it is. Simple, yet super cute.
All students start on green at the beginning of the day or class period, if you are departmentatlized. When students are on task, do what is asked, do something without being asked, etc., you clip them up. When they are off task, talking, not prepared for class, etc., you clip them down. Do this throughout the day as you notice student behaviors, positive and negative. If a student makes it to outstanding, give them a certificate or a special treat. If they clip down to purple, send a note home to the parents. If they clip down to pink, call the parent to tell them about their child's negative behavior that day. Try to catch them being doing good. It's so much more fun to clip UP than down.
Most people use clothespins, decorative or plain to clip students up and down. If you have room on your whiteboard and it's magnetic, you can use magnets instead. That's what I use with 80 students, 4 classes, departmentalized. It takes up less room in width.
