I made this craft to help support reading CVCE words. I have them complete the word paper first by using a red colored pencil to add the super e AND highlight the vowel so they remember it says its name.
We practice reading both the CVC word & then the CVCE version.
They design their Super E, pick a mask & create a Super E cityscape using some of all of the words they practiced.
I usually make a huge super E for our bulletin board & display these.
My students love the SUPER E! song on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD9dwkrUf8s&list=RDrD9dwkrUf8s#t=0) This craft helps them understand the concept in the song.
