This is a great resource to use with any grade level to work on words that can help students understand empathy! This pairs directly with the words used in the Lakeshore Learning "Character Kids Save the Day" Story (it is also color coordinated to match the words in the story). This is a large packet filled with different activities for students at all levels. The first few pages include each word as a superhero logo that can be used around the classroom as a display to show which words the students will be working with that week. The activities also contain work for non readers. They include involving the senses and using creative methods to understand and employ these words. Whether you use the book or not with these words the teacher should teach and explain the words and their meanings prior to using this packet. This packet will help accompany a lesson by the teacher on what the words mean. There are many different resources included so you can pick and choose which fit your students the best! The words included are: Responsible, Honest, Cooperative, Kind, and Brave.
This set includes:
Classroom Signs for each word
A reader and a non reader version about how we can use our senses with these words
A worksheet about drawing a superhero who's superpower is one of the super empathy words
A worksheet where the students can say how they exhibited one of the words that day
A worksheet where the students can say ways that they can be one of the words
(all worksheets are in sets of 5, for each of the words in the list- one worksheet for each word)
