Print and make copies. I print this as a booklet for my firsties. Back the cover with the “Draw a picture” page. Then back the “writing ” page with the “Draw a picture” page. The last page is just the writing page. The number of pages you put in the booklet is entirely up to you.I bind the booklet. This format allows both pages to be visible at the same time. I use one Journal for each month of the school year.
I like to use this with the Reading Street "Look Back and Write" at the end of each selection. I add a label containing the prompt to the bottom of the page. This
can easily be used with any writing activity. I keep these journals all year and then bind them all together to send home at the end of the school year. It is an excellent way to show their progress. It makes a nice keepsake for the parents.
Product contains a cover page for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade
