Quick, easy fast paced game!! Differentiate based on what your students need to focus on! Can be played at centers, during a guided reading warm up or for sight word practice.
Game plays as follows --Each player takes a turn by drawing a card, one at a time. If the player is able to read the card they may keep the card. If they can’t read the card it goes back into the pile. If a player draws a city card, they draw two more cards. If they can read both cards they may keep them; otherwise the cards are returned to the pile. If a player draws a lightning card, they must return all their cards to the pile. The winner of the game is the player with the most cards!
