Designed to work well either with or without my Power of Quotation Marks PowerPoint lesson, this package contains quotation punctuation skill building worksheets with an engaging overall theme of the amazing, unusual and even heroic qualities and achievements of animals and people.
The learning begins with a worksheet designed to introduce and develop an understanding of the purpose of quotation marks. Over the next series of worksheets the students learn how to punctuate quotations with the tag at the beginning. The following group of worksheets develops the students' skills in the punctuation of quotations with the tag at the end. Finally, students learn how to punctuate quotations with the tag in the middle. In the final, two page assignment students are required to write dialogue with tags in each of the beginning, middle and end positions.
