This is a fun way to allow your students to practice adding money and making change by letting them pretend to go grocery shopping!
There are problems that allow the kids to find the totals of the items on their shopping lists.
Then there are some problems that give the kids a chance to make change and see what they would get back when paying the cashier!
You can print out the sheets and give them to the students to work on:
-with a partner or small group
Or you can print these pages out in color, put them in a center, and have the students work out the problems in a math journal or on a blank piece of paper. Whatever works best for you!
This is a great review activity or a wonderful way to allow the kids some independent practice time!
