Dear Future User,
I created this PowerPoint to help me assess a student who is visually impaired. I could get a more accurate picture of what words she knew and did not. I also used this with a student with autism who gets overwhelmed, even reading a small list of 6 words. Flashcards were brought up as an option, but I am NOT organized enough to keep track of them. Viola! PowerPoint for the win.
You may already have your own list of Dolch words you like to use to track your students. If not, the last slide or page is there to help you. I just have the student read the words. I only look for the words the student misread. I also like to put them in a different order the next time I use it. Therefore, feel free to click and drag to move the slides around as you see fit.
I created this in four different colors. You can easily change the colors to fit your students' needs.
Lastly, I also added these files in the PDF format so that if for some reason the PowerPoint isn't working or you don't like to use it, you can use the PDF format in a similar way.
I hope this helps streamline Dolch word assessments in your classroom.
