Students will use place value to identify addition patterns.
Students will be given a starting number and then an ending number. Students will use what they know about place value to decide how each number has changed. For example: 245 + ? = 345, the number changed by 100.
In this activity students will become Super Sleuths as they uncover a hidden message while they solve each problem on the worksheet.
This activity would be great as whole class or as a math center.
