Need an activity to keep your students engaged before Thanksgiving break?? Try a STEM Challenge! This activity is a soaring good time! Students will build a device to help Super Turkey take off and fly! Using a propeller, students will discover how rubber bands will make enough tension to send the Super Turkey flying!
This activity comes with-
* A small reading passage about the difference between a wild turkey and a domesticated turkey. Domesticated turkeys cannot fly, which brings us to our challenge. Help our domesticated turkey become Super Turkey!
* A detailed list of supplies (propellers, tape, paper clip, rubber bands and Super Turkey printed on cardstock paper) Download doesn't come with supplies, you will have to get your own supplies, including propellers.
* Detailed instructions for teachers along with pictures.
* STEM brainstorming sheet and area to write how they solved problems along the way like real engineers.
This activity would be great for any grade level above 2nd grade!
