This power point is a companion to the Superflex Takes on The Unthinkables Posters in my store. This PowerPoint describes the Superflex program in more detail than Social Thinking provides. Superflex is a superhero that helps us defeat villains who make us poor social detectives and causes others to have uncomfortable thoughts about us (like Rockbrain and Glassman). It is a behavior identification and behavior management program that is visual, concrete and relatable. The slide show puts all the information about each Unthinkable in one place, and goes into further detail than the Superflex program. It introduce each Unthinkable describes each Unthinkables powers, lists ways one can defeat the Unthinkable and identifies which Thinkable defeats them. It also provides videos demonstrating people's brains being attack by each Unthinkable. It is a fun and funny way to introduce the concepts set forth by the Social Thinking, and to utilize with the storybooks and activities that Social Thinking has in its Superflex program.
Social Thinking's Superflex program is great and I highly recommend it! It has exciting books introducing Superflex and the Unthinkables, as well as providing easy to use lessons and activities to complement the stories. This PowerPoint that I have here would work very well with the Superflex program or by itself because the company does not provide anything like it. To teach these concepts that the Social Thinking program introduces, I had to spend hours finding videos and putting all the information in one place to make it easier to use. Also, the information on the slides goes into further detail than the actual program.
In my store I also have, Superflex Takes on the Unthinkables double-sided posters that can be used with the Social Thinking program and this PowerPoint.
