This superhero themed clip chart allows students to move up or down the chart based on making good choices or poor choices. It worked well as incentive to kids who started the day on the wrong foot because they knew that making a change could allow them to move back up the chart. Everyone's clothespin starts on green each morning and many children will stay on green which is great because it means they were doing what was expected of them. Moving up to the colors above green is a way to recognize students who are going above and beyond the norm. All to often, these students get overlooked and this chart allows them to get extra recognition. In my room, students who reached pink or purple got to put their name in a jar for a Friday drawing to eat lunch on the stage.
I printed each level and attached it to coordinating card stock and then laminated before attaching them together to hang. Please see my blog for pictures of my finished chart.
