This game set includes several game boards to help your students practice long division, as well as a score cards for each set of partners. There are game boards for long division with one and two divisors. The dividend on the game boards range from two to four places. Each game board includes a cute superhero graphic (boys and girls) both in color and black & white. Please see below for directions and additional materials.
Here are the directions to play:
1. Students should collect their materials (game board, paper & pencil OR whiteboard & whiteboard marker, deck of standard playing cards, and score sheet).
2. Students should each flip the appropriate number of cards over on their game board and solve the problem using the method for long division they have learned.
3. When each student is finished, they should check their partner's work (either using long multiplication or calculators).
4. If the answer is correct, the payer should add up the digits of the answer and place that on his/her score sheet. Students should keep track of their total score as they continue playing.
