Directions: Print and laminate the game board, game cards, and storyboard/ card holder. Cut the cards and place on the story board/ card holder.
Materials Needed: Along with the supplies listed above, students will also need the following. Students will possibly need dice, a marker to hold their place and a writing utensil. Highlighters in various colors would great great.
How to Play: The game can be played several ways, so please, feel free to modify however it works best for your classroom.
I would put students in groups of 2-4. The students can use a die, but it might be easier to have them move one time per turn. Several places on the game board will require the student to pick up a card. They will read the card and go back in the story to look for answers. There are other spaces that will require the student to move forward or move back. The first student that reaches “You Win” wins!
After the game: Have the students write, “What happens next in “A Plan to Capture Heroville’s Teachers”.
