Superlatives - Guided Notes and Writing Activity (with Rubric!)
The guided notes teach superlatives with opportunities for practice. After completing the notes, students will engage in a fun writing activity in which they compose a flattering letter to their best friend. The letter will use comparisons of inequality and comparisons with superlatives to express why the friend is wonderful. Includes directions, an example, and a rubric!
Warning: My example letter to a friend is (intentionally) a tad nerdy.
These documents correspond with Realidades 1B from the level II book. The concept of superlatives is originally taught late in the Realidades level I book, but this is the first time my students are exposed to it and so the notes are presented as such. Vocabulary corresponds to chapter 1B - extracurricular activities, athletics, music and drama. I use this with my Spanish II class.
The zipped file includes 2 pages of notes with a 2 page answer key, as well as a 2 page writing activity (directions, example, and rubric). 6 pages in total.
PLEASE NOTE THAT A DISCOUNTED BUNDLE can be found at my store that includes comparisons of inequality, equality, and superlatives: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Spanish-Comparisons-Bundle-Inequality-Equality-Superlatives-1340632
