Contains 3 printable "Supermarket Community Outing Activities" for secondary life skills students with disabilities. Included are 2 pages of directions and 7 student printables. Text is in 14-16 fonts.
These scavenger hunts require students to locate various supermarket departments, products, prices, as well as weigh produce. Each activity can be down 2-3 times, the first being an instructional lesson, the others being as independent an activity as possible.
The first activity focuses on the different departments within the supermarket and their location. Students must locate the department and write down products they find in each. It includes ideas for differentiation.
The second activity focuses on locating specific products, brands, and their prices. It includes 2 different printables for 2 different student functioning levels.
The third activity focuses on understanding how produce pricing works. Students have to locate the price of the given fruit or vegetable per pound, weigh the items on the scale, and write how many of the fruit or vegetables they get for the price. It includes 2 different printables for 2 different student functioning levels.
Great way to assess if skills are generalizing into the community!
