Unhealthy thinking habits act as roadblocks. These thoughts Inhibit academic, social and emotional learning. To support a growth mindset, your students would benefit from understanding how to tackle their unhealthy thinking habits to pave the way when they encounter obstacles.
This pack was designed to support our students - and help staff and students learn how to identify the types of unhealthy thinking habits, and ways to challenge those thoughts. If these unhealthy thinking habits continue and go unchecked, we often see discipline problems, grades tumble, and anxiety and depression follow.
Resources included: Unhealthy Thinking Tables, Help Sheet, Writing Reflections for each habit, Habits Cards, Scenario Task Cards, Assessment, Answer Keys, and an information guide. (26 pages)
Outside of the classroom, this product can be used for professional development, counseling, and conferencing. In the classroom, teachers could use the information during morning meetings or character education lessons to teach students the types of habits, and how to make changes.
