Let students experience the reality of the Supreme Court by playing Would You Rather?!
Students can work individually, with a partner, or in a small group to determine which of two choices they would rather experience as a citizen of the United States or a justice on the Supreme Court. After making their eight choices students will explain their reasoning in writing.
This activity covers major aspects of the Supreme Court including serving for life, the Marshall Court, swing vote justices, majority opinion, dissenting opinions, appointing for the office, setting precedents, and the types of cases (economic, civil rights, environmental) that justices hear making it a great way to introduce topics or review them.
