Product Description
For this activity, students will have fun being "surgeons" and dissect each 3D object. They will use a ruler to find the dimensions of each face. Then, they will find the total area by adding the area of each face. This hands-on experience provides a concrete exploration of the abstract concept of surface area. A student recording sheet is included along with four summarizing questions. *Key included!
All seven nets are included and can be easily printed on 8.5 x 11 paper.
Types of nets: two different rectangular prisms, cube, two different triangular prisms, parallelepiped, trapezoidal prism
Other supplies needed: Scissors, Tape, Ruler (cm)
Preparation: print (on colored paper), cut, and assemble the 3D figures ahead of time
