Surface Area of Cylinders Discovery Lesson


Description
This is a discovery lesson where students will attempt to use an image of a cylinder to draw what they perceive the net to look like. After giving students a piece of paper or a manipulative model for students to actually play with, students can draw the actual net and then use the net to derive the formula used to calculate the surface area of a cylinder.
