This activity gives students the opportunity to practice finding the surface area of rectangular prisms and cylinders while coloring a Pi Day picture! Learners will work through the problems on their worksheet and then color the picture based on their answers.
There are a total of 20 questions and half of them are practical problems. The problems created for this activity vary in difficulty level. Additionally, some of the questions require decimal multiplication in order to be completed. Please see the preview so you can determine if the questions in this activity are at the appropriate level for your students.
Directions, student activity sheet, coloring page, and answer keys included!
****TWO VERSIONS OF THE ACTIVITY ARE INCLUDED! One uses the pi button on the calculator in surface area calculations and the other uses 3.14 as pi. You can select the one that is more appropriate for your classroom!****
