Students will play a game of connect four with a partner during this activity. The game is played as follows:
Group students based on ability and have each student have a different colored marker.
Students will take turns, just like in tic-tac-toe or connect four.
1st student will choose any problem to answer. They must show their work and write down their answer.
Once they have written down their answer, they may check the answer key for the correct answer.
If correct, they mark the problem on the game board with their color, and it is their partner's turn.
If incorrect, they do not mark the problem, and it is the partner's turn.
First person to get 4 in a row either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally wins.
