This is a multipage activity that can be adapted into a book, double-sided worksheets, etc. The first page has basic school survival vocabulary for new students, such as CLASSROOM, TEACHER, PRINCIPAL, FRIENDS, etc with recognizable clipart for each.
The rest of the activity is made up of boxes with the sentence, "This is a picture of ____". above it. Most nouns, like "picture", have some sort of clipart, to define them for a non-English speaker. For instance, every time it says "picture" in the sentence, there is an image of a camera above the word. For each sentence, there is a box for the student to either draw the associated object, person or room OR to glue in a photo that they have taken around their actual school. The last page has blanks for students, or the teacher, to write in objects that they want to illustrate.
Great for kids just coming to the US and needing basic school vocabulary to get started!
