Survival of the Fittest is an educational board game that teaches players about animal adaptations in a fun and social way, encouraging the creation of silly creatures while trekking through six of the planet’s biomes.
The goal of this game is to be the first to place all of your animals in the biomes that you’ve adapted them for, while dealing with changing environmental conditions! All adaptation cards contain short explanations of vocabulary words, with an easy to use point system for calculating the fittest, most well-adapted species created.
Adaptations and biomes can be matched with any of the included species, creating opportunity for some truly wacky creatures—a furry, bear-sized eagle that lives in the arctic?! This mechanic encourages creativity in gameplay and moves the game away from being a quiz, instead allowing students to get silly and strategic while setting up discussions for after the game.
