This is a ready-to-use, 27 PAGE PACKET designed for teachers to use with students in grades 5-8 as they read Surviving the Applewhites, a Newbery Honor Book by Stephanie S. Tolan. Included is a 19 PAGE STUDENT BOOKLET (plus an ANSWER KEY) that divides the text into SIX reading assignments with questions and tasks to go with each one. In addition, there is a BOOKMARK master for helping students keep track of vocabulary words.
