Survivor is a game which prompts students to ask and answer questions related to a particular set of vocabulary. Students do this in a small group setting and seek to elicit a positive response from others, thereby eliminating them from the game. Game play continues until only one student is left as the sole survivor.
Students love playing this game. It is my most requested activity from students. They learn strategy, build alliances and practice note taking during game play. It can be played with as few as 5 students, but 8-10 students is ideal. I often have two or three circles of students playing at once. You will want to have something for students to work on when they are eliminated from the game if you are monitoring more than one circle in a class.
I have this available in English, French and Spanish languages.
