This is a custom created unit designed to help you integrate social studies in your reading and writing blocks. The three reading passages are formatted in two different ways. They are formatted in the standard format and an interactive note-taking format. You decide what you need for your students!
The passages are followed with questions that are text based. Before reading, students must number their paragraphs and when answering questions, must give the paragraph number where they found the answer.
Also included in this packet:
- Themed bookmark with important events relating to Susan B. Anthony
- Hero Template - This is an awesome resource. My students always love making the hero! We have included a template for the hero, as well as instructions on how to create the accordion timeline. The timeline fits perfectly on the hero's torso, so it isn't quite as boxy as some other templates out there. You can either color the template in, or cut construction paper for the hero's clothes.
- Themed Clipart! This set includes two styles of Susan B. Anthony, women suffrage signs and button, a school house, voting box, and Susan B. Anthony coin.
- Vocabulary Quiz with answer key
Lookout for more heroes! Up next is Mary Mcleod Bethune.
