This is a practice chart that you can use within your your Suzuki group class as a way to further practice and reinforce the concepts learned during the group class.
Following the chart, the teacher will choose a piece or technical concept to be practiced. The students will be asked to go around the room and play for the parents and other students in the group class until they complete their assignment. It is a great way to add student movement at the end of class. It is also a great Suzuki group class activity to use when you are simply tired and need a ready activity!
Simply print our the chart for your students in the class. Go about your group class as usual practicing different concept. At the end pick one piece that they would practice through the chart.
The group class activity chart will take 10-15 min depending on your class size and what you ask the students to practice.
This is a wonderful Suzuki group class activity to do both when you want the students to practice a specific concept or when you have mixed level class. In a mixed level class, you can assign the students different practice challenges according to what they need. They can practice a different song for their recital, a passage from a piece, bow hold, etc.
This Suzuki group class activity can be use d for any instrument. It will be more appropriate for students who are a bit more independent and movement around the rom will be easy for them. Students at an very early age or Pre-Twinkle may still enjoy it, but they would need to get more guidance and help from the parents.
