One of the things I love most about Valentine's Day is the chance to indulge my sweet tooth! Your students can do the same (without the chance of cavities) inside this grammar packet.
-lovely sentence scramble-10 sentences are broken into 4 parts. It's your student's job to arrange them on the sentence sheet so they are grammatically correct.
-yummy past tense verbs-20 pairs of irregular past tense verbs are written on tasty sugar cookies. Your student matches these pairs up in a memory-type game. The winner is the student who collects the most correct cookie pairs.
-frosted figurative language 12 figurative language phrases are found on one card, and their real life definition is on the other. Cards are placed face up. One set (either idioms or definition) of cards is placed face up. Students take turns being the “reader”. Reader reads the card and other students compete to be the first to identify the matching card.
-perfect plurals Students read the sentence(s) on each card. The singular word is in italics. Students then choose answer “a” or “b” to correctly fill in the blank.
Point cards and a 2 page game board are tucked neatly in at the end for a little extra fun.
