This is a simple matching game to supplement your teaching of the commutative property of addition with sums to 10. The commutative property of addition says that the order of addends doesn't change the sum. For example, 2 + 3 = 3 + 2.
In our classroom we call addition problems showing the commutative property "Switch Partners" because the addends 'switch' places.
This is an easy partner game to play in class and send home with students to play with their families. Easy to follow directions are included.
