PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Thank you so much for viewing this quick little intervention set. It was designed to engage the students in a brief session of syllable blending. Directions for use are included.

Materials Needed:
*picture cards from pack that are laminated and cut out

How to use:
Say: I’m going to say a word in a funny way. Your job is to put the parts of the word together and say the whole word. You then pull a picture card to look at (don’t show it to the student yet) and say the word in its syllable parts (ex: clean-ing for cleaning). If the student is able to correctly put the word together, hand them the card as a reward. If not, show them the picture and work with them on putting the parts together.
This could even be done as a game in a small group.
Continue doing this intensely with the remaining syllable cards for about 5 minutes or so.

Use again daily if possible until the student has a firm understanding of syllable blending.
There are 60 cards in all!
