School is ending and summer has finally arrived. Here are citrus fruit themed task cards for counting syllables. Each card has a summer vocabulary picture and 4 numbered citrus fruits (black and white version included). The student or therapist/teacher says the word aloud and then the student circles the numbered citrus fruit (1, 2, 3 or 4) with a dry erase marker to indicate the number of syllables (the student can color the citrus fruit in the black and white version). You can also make 2 copies of the cards and have the students play Memory while working on syllables. I’ve included 4 blank black and white task cards so that you can add your own summer vocabulary.
This product includes the following vocabulary: grill, hamburger/cheeseburger, hotdog, mustard, popsicle, sunglasses, flip flops, beach umbrella/umbrella, watermelon, ketchup, flag, beach ball, seashell, jellyfish, starfish, octopus, shark, seahorse, crab, lighthouse, caterpillar, roller coaster, Ferris wheel, bumper car, fireworks, lemonade, cotton candy, snow cone, firefly/lightning bug, castle/sandcastle, waves and ice cream truck.
These activities are not just for your auditory processing students but can be used with your articulation, language, voice and fluency students. You can use them for group therapy, individual sessions and classroom push-in. This can also be used as an independent activity.
Have fun and thank you for purchasing!
