-Rabbit Pattern Words follow a VCCV pattern. Teaching your students this division pattern can aide them in decoding multisyllabic words. This packet has lesson plans for five days, two different games, and all the materials you need to teach the VCCV pattern.
-Tiger Pattern Words follow a V/CV pattern. This means that in a multisyllabic word that fits the tiger pattern, the first syllable is always open, ending in a vowel, making a long vowel sound. Teaching your students this division pattern can aide them in decoding multisyllabic words. This packet has lesson plans for five days, two different games, and all the materials you need to teach the V/CV pattern.
-Camel Pattern Words follow a VC/ pattern. This means that in a multisyllabic word that fits the camel pattern, the first syllable is always closed, ending in a consonant, making a short vowel sound. If the rabbit pattern (VC/CV) and tiger pattern (V/CV) don't fit, then your students should move the syllable division line over a letter to form the camel pattern. Teaching your students this division pattern can aide them in decoding multisyllabic words. This packet has lesson plans for five days, two different games, and all the materials you need to teach the VC/ pattern.
-Ostrich Pattern Words follow a VCCCV pattern. This means that in a multisyllabic word that fits the ostrich pattern, the word is divided after the first consonant, or before or after a digraph or blend. Examples of ostrich pattern words included in this packet are mon/ster, pump/kin, pil/grim, mat/tress, os/trich, mer/chant and many more!

-Turtle Pattern Words follow a consonant-l-e pattern. This means that in a multisyllabic word that fits the turtle pattern, the word is divided before the final consonant-l-e. Examples of ostrich pattern words included in this packet are tur[tle, gig[gle, ea[gle, and many more!

-Lion Pattern Words have two vowels that are found together in a word, but the vowels are NOT a vowel team. They follow a v/v pattern. This means that in a multisyllabic word that fits the lion pattern, the word is divided between the two vowels. Examples of lion pattern words included in this packet are li/on, di/et, po/et, and many more!
