This is one of my "top 10" multisensory resources! Buyers from elementary to high school level, along with ESL and Basic Skills teachers have purchased this fun game activity. Kids think it is fun, but each is learning the different types of syllables!
This 27 page PDF file highlights skill building activities to support student understanding of the seven syllable types.
Students in kindergarten through higher grades benefit from the numerous activities included in this multisensory and prescriptive approach to the syllable types.
This entire packet is designed and developed using the Orton Gillingham approach to teaching and learning. My focus as a TpT seller is to provide quality and informative lessons. The substance of the products created help students grow academically, and to gain stronger confidence as learners.
The Orton Gillingham Approach is based on a multisensory, explicit, cumulative approach which provides over learning and a continual review of previously presented skills. The multisensory aspect helps individuals learn the skills needed to read and write. Please know that at times, my products do not include an abundance of visuals. Why? Students with special needs, or with other challenges such as visual spatial, processing, and memory difficulties can become overloaded. Where possible, I will do my best to make all products aesthetically pleasing, but not to the degree of many TpT products available by other sellers. But that is why the TpT market is designed, to offer a variety of sellers to offer a variety of products.
