These syllable type posters are easy to read, visually appealing, and make great anchor charts! NOW INCLUDES a matching graphic organizer (one blank student version, one completed with icons and syllable type rules) to help your students organize their thinking as they learn about syllables!
Each poster clearly explains the definition of the syllable type, followed by an icon (great for visual learners!) and an example of a word that has been marked to show the syllable type. Tips for using movement to explain each syllable's icon are provided to help your kinesthetic learners retain what you teach.
Each of the six syllable type posters is available in color or black and white. I highly recommend printing the black and white versions on different colors of paper--this comes in handy when referring to the syllable types with your students!
My poster designs are clear, with a large font that is legible for students. There are no visuals that will distract learners with attention difficulties, so your students can focus more easily on the icons that provide meaningful support.
These posters are helpful supports for a word work center, behind a guided reading table, at a writing station, or in a binder for student reference.
