Cards for sorting words into the six syllable types
(closed, open, vowel consonant e, r-controlled, consonant -le, and vowel teams).
This is a great resource to get some extra practice with short and long vowel sounds and can make for a great introductory or review lesson. There are also Red Word cards that you can use to sort to show students that some words don't fit nicely into any of the six syllable types.
