A fun way to practice the phonemic awareness skill of syllable counting. Game board and word cards included. Can easily be adapted with new words or leveled by the number of syllables used.

Children pick syllable cards and then move around the board according to the number of syllables in the word. The first person to get the middle of the board wins. (adaptation, if you land on a dog bone you get a second turn)
