As a reading teacher, I have found that many of my students have difficulty segmenting syllables. This inhibits their ability to break down words when they begin to read polysyllabic words. These worksheets can serve as both curriculum and intervention practice to support growth of this skill. Students cut out the pictures or words and glue them into the appropriate boxes on the sheet. There are six worksheets in all. Three have pictures and three have words. This makes for a great center activity in grades K through 2.
