This packet contains 20 printable handouts to help your students with multisyllable words that are out of context with an emphasis on common prefixes and suffixes. Each page contains 18-22 two, three and four-syllable words. For example, on the Ocean page students connect the syllables for two-syllable words like stingray and seahorse, three-syllable words like Atlantic and Pacific, and four-syllable words like temperature and anemone. Then students answer five questions about compound words, proper nouns, words with –ing, words with –er, and aquatic vehicles.
Topics: Insects, Dogs, Books, Numbers, Sports, Buildings, the Home, the Ocean, Writing, Mammals, the Butterfly, Birds, School, Technology, Food, Clothing, Holidays, Flowers, Jobs, and the Future.
