I’m so excited to share my Syllable Games and More for Little People with you!
These activities are great to introduce syllables to a whole group, small group, and intervention students. The games provide students with fun, engaging, hands-on activities to practice the skill. The games, anchor charts and poems correlate with Fountas and Pinnells' K Phonics Lessons and Jan Richardson’s Next Step in Guided Reading. I rely on these two resources daily in my classroom. If you follow Jan Richardson’s lesson plans, the syllable games are perfect to use during the word work section of the guided reading pla Once the games have been introduced to the students, I placed them in my Daily 5 Word Work station.
