The day when one must review my syllabus, I dread and so do my students. Why not shake it up? I send home the syllabus and signed form the first day and the second day I do this scavenger hunt with QR codes.
It's a hit. Students work in groups and answer questions that outline the course expectations, questions and procedures. One tip -- use the library. I stick the QR codes in history books and leave tips about the next clue.
