Students will watch a short, entertaining, youtube video clip and complete a one page claim, evidence, reasoning (CER) writeup. They will use the CER method to answer the question: What type of symbiotic relationship is occurring between a cuckoo bird and a warbler. I have included a guided PowerPoint to help aide with the lesson delivery. You could complete this lesson as a class activity, or as an independent science writing assessment. This lesson will require students to think beyond the "just because" answer and include evidence and reasoning to back up their claims. Example Answer Key Included.
