Students learn the definition of symbiosis and then focus on being able to differentiate between mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism. Multiple examples of given for each type. A video clip on a parasitic relationship between a crustacean and a fish is included (it's a little gross but my students loved it and talked about it the entire year). Check for understanding questions are at the end of the presentation as well as a practice worksheet and a 5-question exit ticket.
