Symbol Codes Using the Alt Key
Do you like to add symbols to your student’s worksheets? Do you like to add symbols to your emails? Yes they can add a little fun to directions or notes. However they can be difficult to find sometimes.
Well here is a cheat sheet for teachers to post close to their computers. The first page gives the shortcuts for Smiley face, Scissors, Pencil, Checkmark, Star and a Checkbox. The second page gives the shortcuts for ¼, ½, ¾, +, - and =.
All you have to do is hold the Alt key down while typing the numbers on the key pad. When you let go of the Alt key the symbol will appear.
