Product Description
I use this power point when studying the Underground Railroad and Harriet Tubman. The conductors along the railroad would often hang quilts outside their homes that contained symbols for the travelers. This power point contains 10 different symbols that were used, a graphic to match and a description of how and why the symbol was used. After viewing the power point I have the students create their own symbol and explanation and we combine them to form a class quilt.
