Do your students need more opportunities to explore symmetry. Here are 6 lovely worksheets for matching and drawing symmetrical shapes. There are 3 simple cut and paste worksheets and 3 trickier worksheets for drawing the other half of the shape. 4 of the worksheets have vertical lines of symmetry and 2 have horizontal lines.
Cut and Paste Worksheets:
Students match the halves of the shape to make a symmetrical whole shape. Cut out the 6 ‘half shapes’ from the bottom of the worksheet and paste into the correct place. Talk about why the sides match to make a whole shape.
Draw the other half worksheets:
Students have 6 ‘half shapes’ to complete. Draw the other half of each shape, keeping it as symmetrical as possible.
I also have a pack of harder symmetry worksheets with multiple lines of symmetry
