3 fun and easy lessons for teaching Syncopation. These lessons can be used together or separate in your classroom. The entire unit can last 2-3 weeks depending on your teaching schedule and students. Your students will move to syncopated rhythms, describe them, notate them, compose with syncopated rhythms, and finally improvise using syncopated rhythms.
This unit focuses on Syn-co-pa, or Eighth Quarter Eighth as the syncopated rhythm.
In this pack you will find the Smart Notebook and PDF files for the lesson presentation. There is also a process sheet, outlining what I do for each song. The song sheets are included, with instrument accompaniment where applicable. Finally, there is a PDF of the manipulative cards used when composing syncopated rhythms.
